It’s The Little Things…

It doesn’t take much to make an artist happy. Every day there is the potential to find something completely random that inspires the itch to create. I found this box, five feet tall, standing in the abandoned warehouse spaces of the Arts at Context. Each aged drawer containing a myriad of sizes, shapes and colors of the letters painted on the drawers. The possibilities are endless. Using the letters to create visual poetry or using the letters as sentences to be spray painted over and incorporated into paintings, or guerilla art postings of words in surprisingly revealing places in town–replacing letters in signs and tweaking the public dialogue. This could provide endless hours of amusement and revelation. Some girls buy shoes, I collect materials.
